Man held for killing aunt, cousin in Khagrachhari | District

KHAGRACHHARI, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested a man on charge of brutally killing his aunt and cousin sister in the Ramgarh Municipality area of the district today. The arrestee has been identified as Saiful Islam, 35, a resident of East Bagantila area under the municipality. Superintendent of Police (SP) Md Arefin Jewel disclosed the information at a press briefing held at his office this morning. On August 21, Amena Khatun, 88, and her daughter Rahena Akhter, 40, were murdered at their residence allegedly by their relative Saiful Islam.
