Twenty-one candidates have withdrawn their nominations from the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections, as Monday was the last day for withdrawal. Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr Mohammad Jasim Uddin confirmed the information. Earlier, at a press conference, he said no major violation of the electoral code of conduct had been reported so far. To prevent any such violations in the future, the Chief Returning Officer and his team are closely monitoring the process. If any inequality or discrimination is noticed and submitted in writing, necessary measures will be taken as per the rules.
