Ex-Babuganj chairman among 3 AL men arrested in city | Others

DHAKA, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested three leaders and activists of the Awami League (AL), whose activities remain banned, and its affiliated organizations in separate drives across the capital in the last 24 hours. They were detained on charges of bringing out sudden anti-government processions in the capital with an intention to disrupt law and order, said a police press release. Among the detainees is former Babuganj Upazila Chairman and ex-president of Babuganj Upazila AL in Barishal district, Kazi Emdadul Haque Dulal (60), who was arrested from the Khilgaon area around 3:15 pm on Friday.
