The Awami League office at Chattogram New Market has reportedly been vandalised and padlocked. Police and witnesses said a group of men stormed the fourth-floor office at Dost Building after 2pm on Tuesday, vandalised it and locked the door from outside. Abdul Karim, chief of Kotwali Police, said: “We heard at night that an office at Dost Building was vandalised. Until 9pm, no one filed a complaint. We have sent a mobile team to the scene.” The vandalised office belongs to the Awami League’s Chattogram North district unit.
