DHAKA, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment today denied rumours circulating on social and mainstream media claiming that Qatar has stopped issuing visas for Bangladeshi nationals. In a statement, the ministry termed the reports completely false and baseless, saying that Qatar's labour market remains open and active for Bangladeshi workers. "Between September 2024 and September 2025, a total of 111,662 Bangladeshi workers went to Qatar for employment, bringing the total number of Bangladeshis currently working there to 425,681," the statement said.
