12-member core committee formed over HSIA fire | News

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - The government has formed a core committee headed by senior secretary of Home Ministry Nasimul Ghani to probe into the devastating fire at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), Dhaka. The committee has been asked to submit its report before its next meeting on November 5. Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Adviser Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik confirmed the formation of the meeting while speaking to journalists after coming out of an inter-ministerial emergency coordination meeting held in the cabinet meeting room in Bangladesh Secretariat here.
