CTTC arrests AL,BCL leaders from city's Mirpur, Turag areas | Others

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS)- The members of the Counter Terrorism andTransnational Crime (CTTC) today arrested two leaders of Awami League (AL)and its banned student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) from Turag andMirpur areas of the capital. The arrested are-- Md Zahid Sarkar, a member of the AL central Sub-Committeeand Dastogir Islam Sajib, former general secretary of Natore N S GovernmentCollege. Acting on secret information, a team of the CTTC conducted a raid at MetroRail Station at Mirpur-11 around 2.30pm and arrested Md Zahid Sarkar. He isalso accused in three criminal cases in different police stations. Besides, another team of the unit, acting on a tip-off, arrested Sajib, whohad been hiding in Dhaka after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government...
