DB arrests 2 drug traders with 52-kg marijuana in city | Others

DHAKA, Oct 19, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Detectives Branch of DhakaMetropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested two alleged drug traffickers andseized 52 kilograms (Kgs) of marijuana along with a pickup van from thecity's Tejgaon area. The arrested are Md Imran Khandaker, 29, and Md Akib Mia, 26, according to apress release issued by the DMP's media and public relations division heretoday. On a tip-off, a DB team of Motijheel Division conducted a special operationto recover drugs in the capital on Saturday afternoon, it said.
