5,000 police deployed in Uttara following HSIA fire | Others

DHAKA, Oct 18, 2025 (BSS) - In the aftermath of the devastating fire at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), 5,000 police personnel have been deployed across the Uttara area to maintain law and order. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Uttara Division Deputy Commissioner Md Mohidul Islam confirmed the deployment to BSS.
