Yunus invites Khaleda, Tarique to July Charter signing ceremony

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, the head of the National Consensus Commission, has invited the BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to the July Charter signing ceremony. On Thursday around 8:30pm, commission member Badiul Alam Majumdar and the Chief Advisor’s Special Assistant Monir Haider visited Evercare Hospital in Dhaka and personally handed the invitation letter to Khaleda. Tarique’s invitation letter was handed over to Khaleda’s personal secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. The signing ceremony is scheduled for 4pm on Friday at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building, where political parties are set to sign the finalised July National Charter as part of broader state reform efforts.
