DHAKA, Oct 16, 2025(BSS) - The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) today filed separate cases against former lawmaker of Dhaka-9 constituency Saber Hossain Chowdhury and his wife Rehena Chowdhury for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth. ACC Director General Md Akhter Hossain revealed this to journalists at its regular media briefing at the commission’s headquarters here. Deputy Director (DD) of the commission Md Saiduzzaman filed the cases with the integrated Dhaka office. According to the ACC, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, a former minister for forest, environment and climate change, has earned moveable and immoveable assets and properties worth about Taka 12,25,48,169 from 1989 to 2025 beyond his legal sources of income.
