Cigarettes worth Tk 19 lakh seized at Ctg airport | Others

The seizure was made from the luggage of Dilip Das of Raozan upazila and Mohammad Selim of Fatikchhari upazila, who arrived on Salam Air flight OV401 from Muscat, Oman, at around 8:30 am. Airport Public Relations Officer Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil confirmed the matter to BSS, saying that officials from Airport Customs, NSI, DGFI, and Customs Intelligence jointly conducted the search at the airport customs hall. During the inspection, they recovered 536 cartons of cigarettes worth Tk 18.76 lakh and eight smartphones valued at Tk 4.40 lakh.
