7 new witnesses testify in 3 cases against Hasina, 52 others  | News

DHAKA, Oct 16, 2025 (BSS) - Seven new prosecution witnesses today testified in three cases filed against 53 people, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana, over irregularities in the allocation of plots in the RAJUK Purbachal New Town Project. The witnesses are- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) office assistant Reshma Begum, revenue supervisor Dewan Md Sayeed, upper division assistants Taiyab Karim and Asaduzzaman, accounting assistant Faruk Sardar, deputy tax officers Mainul Islam Chishti and Mehedi Hasan. They testified in the three cases at the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4.
