Shibir-backed panel wins landslide in CUCSU polls

The Islami Chhatra Shibir-backed panel, titled Sampritir Shikkharthi Jote, has secured a landslide victory in the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) elections, winning 24 out of 26 posts, including vice-president (VP) and general secretary (GS). Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr Monir Uddin announced the results in the early hours of Thursday (October 16). He said the polls were held in a peaceful and competitive atmosphere, with active participation from both candidates and voters, turning the campus into a festive ground.
