Senior BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmad has advised Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus to maintain “good relations” with the defence forces, stressing the need to avoid any risks before the national election. Speaking at an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening, the party's Standing Committee member said Yunus must ensure there is balance within all state organs and avoid any kind of imbalance within the forces. “The state must maintain a balance. We do not want to enter any risky situation ahead of the election. We cannot afford that,” he added.
