Mirpur fire: Probe committee formed | News

DHAKA, Oct 15, 2025 (BSS) – A seven-member investigation committee has been formed to probe the fire incident that engulfed a garment factory and its adjoining chemical warehouse in Rupnagar, Mirpur on Tuesday. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Loshkar Tajul Islam will lead the committee, said a PID handout issued today. The committee will determine the cause of the fire, identify those responsible, assess the extent of the damage, and make necessary recommendations. It will submit its report within the next seven working days, the handout said.
