Students are overjoyed after casting their “first-ever votes” in the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) elections. Students from various departments started to gather on campus from early on Wednesday morning for the polls. Students from the residential halls also gathered in groups outside their polling station. However, the polling centres opened 30 minutes behind schedule at 9:30am.
