15 get life term in Habiganj murder case | Law and Court

HABIGANJ, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced 15 people to life term imprisonment in connection with the murder of Jamaat activist Mohibur Rahman in Habiganj town in 2013. Judge of District and Sessions Judge Court-1 Syed Md. Kaiser Mosharraf Yusuf delivered the verdict at around 12:30 pm in the presence of the accused. The convicts are -- Awami League leader and vice-president of the district Krishak League Shafiqul Alam Chowdhury of Moka village under Kagapasha union in Baniachang upazila, his brother Shahidul Alam Afiq, Jahangir Alam, Sebul Mia, Rubel Mia, Shamim Mia, Shamsul Haque Sorful, Maksud Mia, Tara Mia, Ratika Das, Sayed Mia, Nahid Mia, Abdul Mukit, Shahjahan, and Alamgir Mia.
