Danish Ambassador pays courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer

Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Christian Brix Moller paid a courtesy call on Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at the latter's office in the capital's Bashundhara on Tuesday morning. Deputy Head of Mission at the Danish Embassy Anders B. Carlsen accompanied the envoy during the meeting. The ambassador inquired about the health of the Jamaat Ameer and wished him a speedy recovery. During the discussion, the upcoming national election in Bangladesh was termed highly significant. The Jamaat side expressed hope for Denmark's continued support and technical assistance to ensure that the election is held in a free, fair and acceptable manner.
