Candidates who passed the teacher registration examination for private educational institutions but have not yet been appointed are staging an overnight protest in Dhaka’s Shahbagh after holding a “candlelight procession” there, demanding the issuance of a “special public notification”. Announcing a long march towards the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) office on Monday morning, they warned that the agency’s office would be shut down if their demands are not met.
