Govt taking swift action to resolve crisis in shipping sector: Shipping Secy | Business

DHAKA, Oct 12, 2025 (BSS) - Senior Secretary of the Ministry of ShippingMohammed Yousuf today said that the government is taking prompt measures toremove the major bottlenecks in the country's shipping and shipbuildingsectors in order to enhance their efficiency, competitiveness, and investmentpotentials. He said the ministry, in collaboration with the Department of Shipping andthe private sector, has already initiated the process of amending existinglaws and regulations to make the concerned operations smoother and morebusiness-friendly.
