Navy seized trawlers, fishing nets, fish worth TK 19 crore  | Others

DHAKA, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Navy seized huge quantities of unauthorized fishing nets, fish and trawlers worth about TK 19 crore in Cox’s Bazar and Kutubdia on Friday. As part of an enhanced operation to protect mother Hilsha, the navy personnel also arrested 235 fishermen for their alleged involvement in fishing during the banned period, said a press release of the ISPR.
