Ex-chief of Bangladesh Navy Sarwar Jahan Nizam dies  | Others

DHAKA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS) - Former Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral (Retd) Sarwar Jahan Nizam died at 9.15 am today at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka. He was 73. Members of the Bangladesh Navy, including the current chief of naval staff, have expressed deep sorrow over his death, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release said here today. His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held after Zuhr prayers on Saturday at the Bangladesh Navy headquarters mosque. Later, he will be buried at the Banani Military Graveyard with military honours.
