KHULNA, Oct 10, 2025 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) is set to launch a scientific and humane programme to control the growing population of stray dogs on campus through sterilization (spay-neuter) and vaccination. In recent months, the number of dogs has increased significantly across the campus, raising concern among students and staff. Following widespread discussion on social media, both university authorities and animal welfare volunteers decided to take collaborative action. The student-led animal welfare group 'SnehaTail' and the Furry Friends Foundation, a specialized veterinary team, will jointly implement the initiative with support from the university administration.
