More than 312,000 candidates are sitting for the written MCQ-based 49th Special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations for appointments to 683 teachers’ posts at government colleges. The exams are to be held from 10am to 12pm on Friday at 184 centres in Dhaka. About 460 students are competing for each post up for grabs. The Public Service Commission (PSC) says those who pass the written examination will begin taking their viva (oral) examinations from Oct 26.
