Baby Crocodile caught in fishing net released into Sundarbans | Others

KHULNA, Oct 9, 2025 (BSS) - A baby crocodile caught in the fishing net of a fisherman in Boghi village of Sharankhola under Bagerhat district was released into the Sundarbans on Thursday. According to the Forest Department, a fisherman from Boghi village set up a fishing net in a canal near the forest. Around 7 am, while pulling up the net, he discovered a small crocodile trapped in it. Upon receiving information, members of the VTRT (Volunteer Tiger Response Team), led by Alam Hawlader of the wildlife conservation group Tiger Team, rescued the crocodile from the spot.
