NCP meets with CEC on Shapla electoral symbol

The National Citizen Party, which is seeking to register as a new political party, has met with the chief election commissioner to discuss its party symbol. The meeting began at the Election Commission (EC) building in Dhaka’s Agargaon around 4pm on Thursday. A three-member NCP delegation, led by the party’s Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, came to the EC building for the meeting. CEC AMM Nasir Uddin was accompanied by EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed at the meeting. The EC has decided to register two parties ahead of the parliamentary polls. Among them is the NCP.
