Two children among 3 dead as three-wheeler crashes into autorickshaw in Sirajganj

Three people, including two children, have died after a three-wheeler - known locally as a “votvoti” - crashed into an autorickshaw in Sirajganj’s Tarash Upazila. Police said one of the victims was an 8-month-old girl. The accident occurred around 9:30am on Thursday on the eastern side of the Upazila’s Ulipur Bridge, according to Tarash Police Station chief Ziaur Rahman. The deceased have been identified as Md Jony, 12, the son of Rafiqul Islam from Dakkhinpara village in the Tarash municipal area; his 8-month-old sister Tuba, and auto-rickshaw driver Haifot Hossain, 52, from Kohit village.
