Bus passengers beat up 5 ‘Oggyan Party’ suspects in Dhaka’s FDC intersection

Five suspected members of a gang called the “Oggyan Party” or “Malam Party” – known for robbing victims after rendering them unconscious - have been beaten up by bus passengers and handed over to police in Dhaka’s FDC intersection. A passenger, identified as 45-year-old Abdul Mannan, was allegedly victimised by the gang and is currently under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, according to Hatirjheel Police Station Sub-Inspector Rajib Hossain. He said, “A case has been filed over the incident that took place on Wednesday afternoon.
