Typhoid vaccine completely halal, says Islamic Foundation DG

Director General of the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, Abdus Salam Khan, said that the typhoid vaccine is completely halal. “Questions had arisen about whether the typhoid vaccine is halal. After proper verification, it has been confirmed that the vaccine contains no haram ingredients, making it completely halal,” he said. He added that the cure for all diseases comes from Allah, and it is up to us to identify and utilise them. He made these remarks while addressing a workshop of religious leaders at the Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday (8 October).
