At least eight Bangladeshi nationals were killed in a road accident in Oman’s Duqm Sidra area on Wednesday (October 8) afternoon, around 3:00 pm local time. All of the deceased were reportedly from Sandwip upazila in Chattogram. The Times of Oman, an English daily published in the country, also confirmed the casualties in a report quoting the Ministry of Health. According to the ministry, eight people were killed and two others were critically injured in the accident in Duqm Sidra. The ministry extended condolences to the victims’ families and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
