Local govt expert Tofail Ahmed passes away

Eminent local government expert and distinguished academic Professor Tofail Ahmed passed away at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday night. He was 71. Tofail Ahmed breathed his last at United Hospital in Dhaka around 9:30 pm, his son-in-law Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar Jahan confirmed to the media. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, his son-in-law, and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers. According to family sources, he will be laid to rest at the family graveyard in Fatehpur village under Hathazari upazila of Chattogram district on Thursday.
