BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia made an unannounced visit to the gravesite of her late husband, former President Ziaur Rahman, shortly before midnight on Wednesday. She arrived at the mausoleum in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at around 11:00 pm, without prior notice to party activists. The ailing former prime minister remained in her vehicle, reciting verses from the Holy Quran and offering prayers beside the grave.
