Director Lisa Gazi’s film ‘Barir Naam Shahana’ is representing Bangladesh at the 98thAcademy Awards (Oscars) this year. This year, five films were submitted; the films are - ‘Saba’, ‘Barir Naam Shahana’, ‘Nakshi kantha Jomin’, ‘Priya Maloti’ and ‘Moyna’. Out of these, ‘Barir Naam Shahana’ has been sent to the Oscar Bangladesh Committee for the Best International Feature Film category. Apart from this, there was also discussion about the movie ‘Saba’.
