Target set to vaccinate 3.83 lakh children in Sherpur | District

SHERPUR, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - To curb the spread of typhoid fever, thegovernment will launch a nationwide typhoid vaccination campaign under theExpanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) from October 12, aiming to cover3,83,194 children in Sherpur district. "Children under 15 years enrolled in educational institutions will receivethe typhoid vaccine at their respective schools, while out-of-school childrenaged between 9 months and under 15 years will be vaccinated at existing fixedand outreach EPI centers," said Civil Surgeon of Sherpur Dr Md Shahin at apress briefing held today.
