DNCC to vaccinate 13 lakh children against typhoid | Others

DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is set to launch next week an anti-typhoid vaccination campaign for children aged between 9 to 15 years within its purview in the capital, officials said today. “We will vaccinate the children below 15 years within our jurisdiction whether or not they have birth registrations during the 18-day long campaign starting October 12,” DNCC’s chief health officer Brigadier General Imrul-al-Quais said. He said DNCC estimated nearly 13 lakh children of the age group to come under the Typhoid Vaccination Campaign-2025 while the municipal entity divided its coverage area in 10 zones in collaboration with health ministry, UNICEF and WHO.
