Fugitive accused arrested in Bhatara  | Others

DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - A team of Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of police on Tuesday arrested a fugitive accused from the capital's Bhatara area.The arrested accused Mahannan Karim @ Amith (42), son of late Nazrul Karim, a resident of Bakul Villa, House No.-30, Road-04, Sector-04, Uttara Purb, Dhaka.A team of ATU arrested Amith from Bhatara Thana area around 09.50 pm on Tuesday, said a police press release.The detainee was an accused in a case filed with a Dhaka court under Negotiable Instrument Act in 2014.According to the case details, the arrestee gave a cheque of Tk one crore to one of his relatives against an agreement of purchasing a flat at Shahjadpur area under Gulshan Police Station in 2014...
