National U-20 chess championship begins  | Sports

DHAKA, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - The 42nd National Under-20 Chess Championship, featuring both open and girls' sections, commenced today at the Bangladesh Chess Federation hall. Boys and girls under the age of 20 from across the country are taking part in the competition. In the open section, 76 players from 17 districts are competing, while the girls' section features 30 participants from 10 districts. In the opening round of the open section, 34 players, including FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid, Mohammed Shaker Ullah, Candidate Master Md.
