Five including an AL leader arrested for mass killing in Ashulia | News

DHAKA, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - Dhamrai police has arrested five leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organizations, including a former upazila chairman from Nabinagar area, for their alleged involvement in mass killing in Ashulia during the last year’s mass uprising. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhamrai Thana Monirul Islam said that police arrested them from a residential area at Nabinagar during a raid at about 10.30pm on Monday. The arrestees are Mohaddesh Hossain, former organizing secretary of Dhamrai upazila Awami League (AL) and chairman of Dhamrai Upazila Parishad, Sanaul Haque Sujon, general secretary of Dhamrai Poura AL and former member of Dhaka District Council, Moshiur Rahman, former chairman of Dhamrai sadar union, Aminul Islam, president of recently banned...
