Bangladesh reports two dengue deaths, 782 hospitalisations in a day

Another 735 people have been hospitalised with dengue in the past day, taking the tally of hospital admissions from the disease since the start of 2025 to 51,404. This year's fatality count from the mosquito-borne disease climbed to 217 on the back of two more deaths in the past 24 hours. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its daily bulletin on Tuesday that the deaths occurred at the DNCC Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital and Mugda Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.
