Jamaat Ameer seeks UN's continued support for Bangladesh's development  | Others

DHAKA, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman today sought continued support of the United Nations (UN) for the overall development of Bangladesh. He made the request when UN Resident Coordinator in Dhaka Gwen Lewis met him at the Jamaat Ameer's Bashundhara office here. Huma Khan, Human Rights Adviser to the UN Resident Representative, was present. During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including the existing human rights and political situation in Bangladesh, the Rohingya crisis and the upcoming national elections.
