2 accused of journalist murder case in Bagerhat arrested from Dhaka | Others

BAGERHAT, Oct 7, 2025 (BSS) - The DB (Detective Branch) police have arrested two persons in connection with the murder of journalist SM Hayat Uddin in Bagerhat, police said on Monday. The arrested persons are- Md. Omar Faruk alias Emon Howlader (25), son of Shahidul Howlader of Gopalkathi village in Bagerhat Sadar, and Md. Ashiqul Islam, Ashiq (25), son of Md. Abdul Hai of the same area. DB police arrested them from the room no. 118 on the fourth floor of the New Golden City Residential Hotel in Ashulia Palli Bidyut area under Ashulia police station in Dhaka on Sunday night.
