BB board approves new shariah board policy | Others

DHAKA, Oct 06, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladesh Bank (BB) board has approved the ‘Shariah Advisory Board (SAB) 2025’ policy — covering the formation of the board, appointment and removal of members, and their roles and responsibilities. The central bank board today approved the policy during its 444th meeting at BB headquarters in the city. Governor Ahsan H. Mansur was in the chair. According to Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan, the BB board has also given its approval to the ‘Regulation for Bank Resolution, 2025’.
