Dhaka seeks stronger ties with Netherlands | News

DHAKA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS)- Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain today sought deeper cooperation with the Netherlands in water management, agriculture and technology, acknowledging the European nation’s globally recognized expertise in these sectors. The Adviser made the call when newly appointed Dutch Ambassador to Bangladesh Joris van Bommel paid his maiden courtesy call on him at the foreign ministry here, according to a press release issued by the ministry. During the meeting, Hossain highlighted the potential for greater collaboration between the two countries, particularly in the areas that support Bangladesh’s sustainable development and climate resilience.
