Female participation in training, policymaking required for true women empowerment: Sakhawat | News

DHAKA, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS) - Labour and Employment Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain today stressed the need for active participation of women in both training and policymaking to ensure their true empowerment. "True women's empowerment requires active participation (of female) in both training and policy-making," he said at the inaugural ceremony of a two-day event titled 'The HERizon Fest 2025: Celebrating Women through Skills and Employment" at a city hotel here, said a press release. The National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) with the technical assistance of Deutsche Gesellschaft fr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is hosting the event.
