The Bangladesh Army has said a group with malicious intent is “misrepresenting” its chief’s remarks on legal immunity for troops in civil aid operations on social media. In a media statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said a presentation of a research report was held on Sept 30 to identify ways to make the Army’s activities in aid of the civil administration more effective and dynamic. The event reportedly discussed the deployment of soldiers under the country’s existing laws and the challenges involved.
