Press Club and CMUJ urge punishment for attackers of two journalists in Chattogram | District

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 6, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Press Club (CPC) and the Chattogram Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ) today demanded the swift apprehension and exemplary punishment of those responsible for the recent attack on two journalists in Jungle Salimpur under Sitakunda Upazila. They made the demand at a joint human chain this afternoon in response to the assault on Ekon Television's Chattogram bureau chief Hossain Ziyad and cameraperson Md Parvez on October 5. Leaders of the two organizations warned of strict action if the attackers are not caught and the stolen equipment recovered within 48 hours.
