‘Blasphemy’: NSU expels student over alleged Quran desecration

The North South University (NSU) has permanently expelled student Apurba Pal after he was accused of desecrating the Quran on campus. On Sunday, the university administration also decided to file a lawsuit against the student. Faizullah Wasif, assistant director of the university’s Public Relations Office, confirmed the decision, saying that the university's disciplinary committee held an emergency meeting over the matter.
