12.68 lakh children to get typhoid vaccines in Cumilla | News

CUMILLA, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 12.68 lakh children will be brought under typhoid vaccination coverage in Cumilla. This information was revealed at a view-exchange meeting with journalists at Cumilla Civil Surgeon Office here. Chaired by Civil Surgeon Dr Ali Nur Bashir, the meeting was attended, among others, by World Health Organization (WHO) representative Dr Subhal Chandra Saha, Deputy Civil Surgeon Reza Mohammad Sarwar Akbar, Sadar Upazila Medical Officer Dr Zakaria Mohammad and Medical Officer Dr Faria Jahan. The speakers at the meeting said the typhoid vaccination campaign must be made successful to create a healthy nation. The government is providing this vaccine free of cost.
