Bangladesh reports another dengue death, 374 hospitalisations in a day

The health directorate has reported another death due to dengue fever in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities from the disease to 203 this year. The latest victim, a 20-year-old woman, died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported on Saturday. Also, 374 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of dengue-related hospitalisations this year to 48,865. According to government data, September saw the highest number of dengue-related hospitalisations, with 15,866 admissions and 76 deaths.
